[AiRV Podcast] Mike Maycock

Roanoke area musician and guitar instructor, Mike Maycock joins me for a chat on his background and other random topics. A genuinely kind and laid-back guy, Mike and I go back many years. It’s a pleasure to share his skills and insights.

A seasoned veteran of the southwest Virginia band circuit, Mike has been directly affiliated with many bands including Presence, Blind Decadence, Full Tilt, Deja Voodoo, Nice Day for Something, Stone Groove, Laughing Sam’s Dice, Stickman, The Thrillbillyz, The Thomas Wilson Orchestra, The Mike Mitchell Band, Monkey Fuzz, Runaway Jones, The Jambusters, The Scrooge band and indirectly with the Lazy Man Dub Band.

In addition to his long-time teaching position as a guitar instructor with Kelley’s Music in Roanoke, Virginia, Mike holds a B.S. in Business & Economics and MBA degrees from Radford University and works by day with Goodwill Industries of Valleys. He resides with his wife and family in the Grandin area of Roanoke Valley.
